Next May 20 in the Parque de la Constitución starting at 1:00 pm we will celebrate the MOVIMIENTO VINO DO DAY, an event that will be held in 24 DO of Spanish wines simultaneously. It is an action promoted by the Spanish Conference of Wine Regulatory Councils.

With the collaboration of the City Council and the PDO Yecla wineries on Saturday, May 20, we will celebrate an event whose objective is to bring wine with Denomination of Origin to the general public, it will be a festive, popular and participative day, in the to enjoy and get closer to discover the wine with DO

• There will be a great collective toast for wine with DO at 1:30 p.m. in all the Designations of Origin that celebrate this great event.
• The objective is to bring wine with Denomination of Origin to the general public and young people in particular, in a day in which, in addition to wine, music will also play a fundamental role.
• It will be a festive, popular and participative day, in which to enjoy and get closer to discover the wine with DO

Castaño Monastrell 2016 Silver Medal in the wine contest SOMMELIER WINE AWARDS 2017

This wine, elaborated mainly with the Monastrell variety, has obtained one of the best scores of the "Reds from vintages prior to 2015" category. The blind tasting conducted by prestigious juries was held in Alcázar de San Juan on May 4, 2017. The tasting committee was set up for this purpose by professionals appointed by Wine Connection and was chaired by Pedro Sarrión Martínez.

Bodegas Castaño has participated in Fenavin, Ciudad Real, where it will also collect the gold and silver medals of Spain Selection for Casa Cisca 2013 and Castaño Monastrell Dulce 2015 respectively.
